Bonn: Like in Budapest, Thai sabre ace Willi Kothny did a good job in the qualifying of the World Cup in Bonn. He was in good condition: Willi won five of six fights, one after 0:4 arrears. Only fencer Nowinovski from Poland beat Willi in the qualifying. Because of his good results Willi was set under the first 32.

Coach Somkhit Phongyoo, who accompanied Kothny was content with his brother: ”In Bonn I could see, that many things of Willis fencing style has been changed since last season. But until the World Championship in October in Havanna we can make an ”update” on his fencing style.”

On Sunday, Somkhit will have the opportunity to study the 17 best fencers of the world in Bonn.
